Pressure reduction and suction characteristics of the single-use flexible scope with suction

Introduction: Purpose To assess the time taken by the single use 7.5Fr suction flexible ureteroscope to reduce pressure under 40 mm Hg and to characterize the behavior of stones, fragments and dust during suction activation. Methods An in vitro setting was developed for this experiment.

Laser fibers and baskets. How do they affect suction and intrarenal pressures using single-use scope

Introduction: To evaluate the intrarenal pressures (IRP) and suction properties of novel 7.5 Fr PU3033AH and 9.2 Fr PU400A flexible ureteroscopes with direct-in-scope suction (DISS) feature, with the empty working channel, and with different working instruments.

Stone fragmentation with subsequent evacuation using the single-use scope with DISS

Which sucks more? Comparison of two DISS ureteroscopes to a conventional ureteroscope

Introduction: Novel Direct-In-Scope-Suction ureteroscopes (DISS-U) have recently been introduced to facilitate removal of small stone fragments. The purpose of this study was to compare two novel DISS-U to a conventional ureteroscope to determine efficiency for suctioning fluid and stone dust at different deflection angles.

Global research trends in minimally invasive treatments for kidney stones: Analysis (2014-2025)

Introduction: The incidence of kidney stones is increasing worldwide.  The prevalence of kidney stones in the US adult population between 2017 and 2020 was 9.9%. Rates range from 7 to 13% in North America, 5–9% in Europe and 1–5% in Asia. The management of renal calculi has changed dramatically from open surgery in the early 1990 s to today’s minimally invasive procedures.

Measurement and comparison of intrarenal pressures during RIRS using DISS-scope

Introduction: To evaluate the intrarenal pressure parameters of the 9.2 Fr (5.1 Fr working channel) and 7.5 Fr (3.6 Fr working channel) flexible ureteroscopes with direct-in-scope suction (DISS) in an ex vivo experimental setting.
