Introduction: To evaluate the intrarenal pressures (IRP) and suction properties of novel 7.5 Fr PU3033AH and 9.2 Fr PU400A flexible ureteroscopes with direct-in-scope suction (DISS) feature, with the empty working channel, and with different working instruments.
Introduction: Novel Direct-In-Scope-Suction ureteroscopes (DISS-U) have recently been introduced to facilitate removal of small stone fragments. The purpose of this study was to compare two novel DISS-U to a conventional ureteroscope to determine efficiency for suctioning fluid and stone dust at different deflection angles.
Introduction: The incidence of kidney stones is increasing worldwide. The prevalence of kidney stones in the US adult population between 2017 and 2020 was 9.9%. Rates range from 7 to 13% in North America, 5–9% in Europe and 1–5% in Asia. The management of renal calculi has changed dramatically from open surgery in the early 1990 s to today’s minimally invasive procedures.
Introduction: To evaluate the intrarenal pressure parameters of the 9.2 Fr (5.1 Fr working channel) and 7.5 Fr (3.6 Fr working channel) flexible ureteroscopes with direct-in-scope suction (DISS) in an ex vivo experimental setting.
